Kristian's
hand crafted didgeridoos can be found on this
site, so you may already be familiar with his
name. And just like his didgeridoos, each track
on this CD has something new to offer... a change
in tone color, for example, or an unexpected
rhythm that makes you want to get up and dance.
Kristian grew up in the town of Orange, which
is located in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.
This is Wiradjuri country, where he's a descendant
of the Ngambar mob at Brewarrina. He now lives
in northern New South Wales with his wife and
new daughter. Kristian expresses himself culturally
through Aboriginal art and making/playing didgeridoos.

Jeremy
Donovan embraces his Aboriginal descendance
through painting, storytelling, and performing
with the didgeridoo. "Yalanji" is
his most recent CD, and he plays straight from
the heart with rhythms that sound more like
personal mantras than glitz. The ancient sound
of the Australian bush provides a natural background
for the Yigi Yigi (didgeridoo) as Jeremy stirs
it up beat by beat. The first track opens with
the haunting drone of a bullroarer, didgeridoo

Dargan is a descendant of the Larrikia Aboriginal
tribe in Australia's Northern Territory. "Stories
of Wind" is a musical dialogue between
two of the oldest wind instruments in the world,
the Didgeridoo and the Native American flute,
both played by Ash. Enchanting global grooves
and soul-touching rhythms create a sonic landscape
of pulsing beats created with organic and natural
sounds from the wilds of Australia. Native-style
double and split scale harmony flutes, various
mouth percussion instruments and vocal singing
also are featured. This is an excellent follow-up
to his previous title, "Territory",

Frank Heinkel (YidakiFrank). Aside from the
stellar didgeridoo rhythms, including a duet
with Tyler Spencer, Frank opens his sonic heart
with breathtaking Tuvan throat singing and Gyoto
monk-like chants. The 12 tracks are arranged
to take you on an inward journey, keeping everything
in balance somehow. There's so much to share
with you about this CD that my MP3 blend of
5 separate tracks is a bit longer than usual,
but worth the download. The CD comes in a handsome
didgipack with understated graphics and poetic
